Wow!!!! I am soooooooooo proud of you! Keep on going, you can do it!!!! The book is short, but there is a lot info in there. I love the part where he says that staying on the 5 bite diet is equivalent to running on a treadmill for 6 hours...fabulous!!!! : )))))))

I saw that the book was republished in 2012, but I'm not sure any changes were made or if it was updated in any way. Does anyone know if any changes or additions were made in the new edition???

Thanks guys--you all are so encouraging.

I never really realized I wasn't at my ideal weight until this diet...
Now I don't feel like I'm overly critical of myself, but I feel almost like I have a new pair of eyes because now I see that I really do have unnecessary extra fat on my body. I feel like I let it stay there so long because I didn't realize it was so much extra fat--I thought it was just my body shape. I think it is easy for women who carry their weight in their hips and thighs to think that is their body shape when its not. The more I look and analyze my frame now that I am losing weight I realize that I should really be a size 2. I'm a size 4 right now and you can tell by looking at the updated pic that I still have plenty of fat to spare in my thighs. Crazy, just crazy. The book says based on my height I can get to be around 110 lbs affraid I just have a really hard time envisioning myself there though--I haven't been my ideal weight since maybe my freshman year in HS.

One thing is for sure though, after reading the book I feel a new sense of motivation in the sense of the "do it right and get it done" mentality. Today I plan on sticking to 5 bites for lunch and dinner. Not 8, not 9. Five.
I'm hoping being strict gets me there faster.

He talks so much about being focused---I just want to give everyone who reads this a little reminder today that you can do it! cheers

I know what you mean, Snow. I think my biggest aha is learning I don't need tons of "healthy" for to be healthy. If I were to take in the USDA recommendations of every food group I would be huge! I don't feel guilty anymore if I only get one serving of veggies and day and I probably never will feel bad about it again...
It's true, you don't need a varied diet! I used to worry because my daughter is such a picky eater. I don't anymore. I do, however, make her take a multi vitamin.

Thanks for the encouragment ElleBella Smile

WI: 125.8
B: small soy latte
L: 5 bite of a burger
D: slice of little ceasars pizza (I was stuffed. normally I would have eaten 3!)

You have done so well.. It must be hard to understand why you would stall on such a little amount of food... but ketosis often does not show up on the scale but in your clothes instead. flower
