Hey, Folks -- A "Re"-Introduction

Post  16Again on Tue Jun 26, 2012 7:15 pm

Hi Everyone.

There are all sorts of New Names here from the last time I visited, so it's really like I'm the newbie.

The stuff I used to write, here, was so long-winded, that I think I'll stay minimalist. I pray I'll set a good example. I hope I can help any who need it. I look forward to any encouragement y'all have to offer.

I'd rather drown in a single tear of joy,
Than stay afloat in a sea of sorrows.

Thanks ElleBella.

Yes, "seasoned." Very Happy "Marinated" would have worked at one time (decades ago). And "aged"... well they do that to cheese and beef don't they? Yeah, that applies, too.

You seem fun too. I look forward to losing it, with you and everyone here.

Bless ya'!

Marc

I was going to start a journal...

Post  16Again on Wed Jun 27, 2012 6:41 am

...But I realized this was introductory...

FAT kid. Skinny hippie teen afro (through none other than PORTION CONTROL). FAT adult.

Lost 20 lbs last year in one month (mid-FEB to mid-March) then quit.

Before I quit, I inspired my much smarter brother to do this.

He lost 107 pounds in Three and a Half months (April 2 to mid July). Yep, from 283 to 176. affraid

The Doc asks in the book which of two kind of people am I...

The kind who wants to lose some fat(?)

or

The kind who wants to be THIN?

I would've sworn I wanted "to be thin."

I was WRONG.

I just got diagnosed with Diabetes.

I NOW KNOW the Difference.

I now want to BE THIN as though my LIFE depended on it.

I'm with you all, through it all. I'm so thankful for this community.

Blessings,

Marc

P.S. I'll probably clarify some of this in the next couple months anyway. But, I'll gladly answer any questions this all brings up. Very Happy

Welcome back! Congratulations to you on your previous weight loss of 20 lbs. in a month and special congrats to your brother!!!!! That is so wonderful!!!! Is he maintaining the weight loss, if so how???

As far as what type of person I am, a fat hater or a want to be thinner...I'm truly on the fence obviously or I'd be done losing weight by now. Some days I'm one and some days I'm the other and then I have all this female hormone crap constantly working against me (PCOS & insulin resistance). Being female, in my house means I'm responsible for shopping for food and cooking food that I will not eat, which adds continual stress on my resolve. It's tough out there, Marc!!!!

Men seem to have an easier time sticking with it and especially the low carb aspect which we here on this forum have added to the 5BD. I'm sure you will reach your goal, just keep going!!! : ))))))) Good luck!!!! Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation
