Introduction

Back after a long hiatus.. Hey guys I am Kellee and I am looking to lose 20 pounds. I have done the five bite before with great short term success but usually fall off. I have the book and Dr Lewis makes it sound very easy. He also says that there are two kinds of people who want to lose weight, I must not be the one who really want to lose.

Welcome back, I'm sure you will stick with it this time. You have seen the success so you know it works. I think the two kinds of people really relate to the mindset of the person. I mean I've dieted and stopped and dieted and stopped but now my mind is made up to lose the weight and maintain so it's the mind set for sure.

Hi Kellee! I'm so glad you are here! I'm like you and have done this diet before several times, but I've been back since January and I'm sticking with it until I lose the weight this time. I agree about the two kinds of people. When I quit before, I was the kind of person who just wanted to eat food. This time is different, I can eat the food that I love but learn to have self control because I want my hot body back after having 3 kids more than I want that food. I have also overeaten due to anxiety for years....you know trying to comfort my anxiety. The anxiety stems from being a career woman, good wife, and awesome mother of 3 highly successful boys. It takes a lot anxiety to keep all those plates spinning in the air if you're going to do it right. Most moms experience this...the pressure to be a perfect or even a good woman drove me to food to comfort myself and soften the thoughts that I'm not doing things good enough. From the outside though, I've got everything under control and all is well. If I can get a hold on this weight problem and learn to manage my stress differently, my life will be so much more fulfilling. Since you only have 20 pounds to lose, you will do great. Alexis has lost nearly 20 pounds in a month and she should be your inspiration for your journey. Please read her journal, it will be most helpful to you!

You guys are great! Thank you for the welcome and all of your encouragement! I am on day 5 right now and am feeling fine, (The first three days are tough) I am down 6 pounds and I hope to get the rest off ASAP:) So that leaves another 14 to go. Dr Lewis talks about losing the weight and getting on with your life and that is what I am looking forward to.
