New to the program

Hi All,
Im new to this program. Im giving it a try after doing some extensive research and considering this as somewhat a last ditch effort before the lap band/gastric bypass. Unlike most of you, I have more than 100 lbs to lose. So Im hoping that this will quickly help me gain control of my eating habits and portions to be more successful than I have been before.

Today is day 1. I wasn't at home with a scale this morning so I dont have an exact starting weight, but I'm looking to see the LBS drop quickly.

Welcome Smile My cousin lost over 100 lbs and has ket it off. She chose this instead of lap band also. She looks fabulous and you will too. The first 3-5 days are tough, but once you get past that it gets much easier. Can't wait to follow your journals/journey What a Face

I have a lot to lose too

Don't worry...I have a lot to lose also! I was at 225 when I started low carbing in August. I lost 24 pounds doing that. I will weigh in on Monday and see how this week went. I am now on day 7 and feel like I can do this, this time! I am eating 5 bites of protein only. I would like to be at 115, so ultimately I wanted to loose 110 pounds. I am 5'3" and that is a healthy great looking weight for me. I have been there before and I will get there again. We can do it, together!

Hey Snow White! You started at the weight I am currently at right now! And Im also 5'3. I have a question. Have you been doing any exercise or toning stuff at all?

Hi eveangel,
I have been sick for several weeks with a cold, so I have not been exercising. I have an elliptical machine in my garage and I intend to use it eventually. But the truth is that exercising makes you hungrier! Ultimately I would like to reach my goal weight and then use exercise for toning and heart conditioning. That's my plan anyway! : )
