what supplements are you taking? I am so encouraged to see someone eat 30 bites and lose weight! I keep wondering how much one can eat and still lose.. I know there is that 80 bite diet out there but some reviews talk about gaining on it and not losing so it scared me, but 30 still seems low Smile

Hi, Yeah I think 80 bites is too high for losing all of our wieght. I dont see how you guys only eat 10 bites per day. 20-30 seems pretty small to me!! But I may have to take it down to 10, it will all depend on how it goes.... I am hoping to be able to eat 50 bites or more once I am maintaining...

I am taking

MegaFood Baby and Me (preanatal multivitamin- 4 tablets a day) made from whole foods no synthetic vitamins
Megafood B complex - 1 tablet a day
PlusEPA fish oil (no DHA) 1000 EPA 2 softgels per day
Vitamin D3 4000 IU per day
Absorb Aid enzymes 1/2 tsp 3 x per day or 1 1/2 tsp per day
Gr8dopholis probiotics- 3 per day

I am preparing to concieve, God Willing. My goal for right now is 165...

I feel like the vitamins help me get stuff I am missing, they are made from food, so the vitamin A is from carrots, the vitamin e from brown rice, the vitamin K from cabbage, ect....

Today I have had 10 bites of food aprox.... I probably will get hungry again later before bed and have another 10. It seems like I am getting hungry for 30 bites one day and around 20 the next, so average it out to be 25 per day....

Also I am drinking Plum Smart juice to help with major bathroom issues. I didnt go the restroom for bout 3 days it seemed like! I drank aprox 1 cup with lunch...

I'm with you on the vitamins etc, I always feel so much better from the inside out when I take them daily. My skin reflects it, my hair and nails grow faster, healthier, I have more energy etc, I'll continue taking them too Smile My body is so used to 10 bites a day that 30 would feel like cheating, lol it would seem like SO MUCH food but in reality its still low in calories so I can see it still working Smile

I ended up doing 20 bites last night! for a total of 30 yesterday. Scales said 178 lbs

Today I am doing a variation of Dr Lewis diet

Lunch- 5 bites with 1 cup V8

Bite #1 is 1 fried egg
Bite #2 is 1 bite hamburger helper
Bite #3 1 bite hamburger helper
Bite #4 1 bite hamburger helper
Bite #5 1 bite cheddar chowder

Well, I am back to waiting on hunger then eating 5 bites- 10 bites. It takes me hours to work up to hunger properly

Things are not going good for me right now...I fell off the wagon yest and today! But I guess I need to learn how to always pick myself back up and push restart....

It just works best to lose wieght for me if I wait until I am 100% sureI am hungry, then eat a little. I think I am going to try to do that plus walk a mile after each meal...

I have really been struggling this week. I'm not going to make it to my goals if I keep getting off plan. I am learning that my "hungerstat" is able to be reset with just only one additional bite of food and then I'm off track for days! I am restarting today and rededicating myself to why I am doing this. Good luck and hang in there! : )))

The calories don't really matter, it's the volume that counts. Keep those dishes that the Lean Cuisines come in and use them to portion your food for when you eat other stuff...this is a very effective strategy that I have used in the past and lost a ton of weight doing it. I'm glad you can handle exercising on this diet b/c I can't...it just makes me so hungry which doesn't help me. Sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the great work! : ))))

The best time to eat is when you are just a little hungry, not ravenous that way it's easy to stop at 5 bites etc if you wait until you are very hungry it's much harder to stop. Smile

Lean Cuisines, great idea!!

Post  3jaysmom on Tue Mar 13, 2012 5:52 pm

The lean cuisine idea is great. I never thought of keeping the plates, and putting other food on them to keep the volume consistent. When I go back to eating real food, I think I'm going to try that. Those tiny trays only hold a few bites. It was hard for me when serving the family, and putting tiny amounts on my plate, it looked so pathetic, lol.

I was down today!! 179.8 lbs.

Spryng...I have an issue where my body doesnt get truly hungry only once or twice a day. I think I have a metabolism/insulin resistance. Because I will take my blood sugar and it will be above 90 while I am waiting for hunger. True hunger for me is around 82. My body has a strange thing...I will feel a twinge (not truly moderatly hungry) and then my body will pull from fat stores and my blood sugar goes back UP above 90. It does this over and over until finally I feel a strong true hunger in my tummy.

I am eating 500 calories or less per day maybe?! My body just doesnt really want much more food!! Is something majorly wrong with me?

I have a Lean Cuisine Chicken Panini all ready to stick in the oven for when I feel a moderate strong hunger.... it has 360 calories. I wonder if I will be hungry for the rest of the day??

I walked 2 miles so far, and I Have 3 more to walk....

Scales say 177.4! Walked aprox 5 miles or so yesterday. Ate two Lean Cuisines plus a little more. These Lean Cuisines give me more energy. They are balanced and have carbs and protiens in them, I have been low in sodium and potassium on blood tests befor they are high in both of them

I have recently been considering monitoring my blood sugar. I'm not diabetic so I've never really considered it before but I'm curious to see how it affects me and my moods. The only thing is I am a wuss when it comes to pain. I once had to do a little finger prick to see what blood type I was and it took me like 30 mins to make myself press the button that would make the needle prick me lol. What do you use to monitor your blood?
