4 pounds lighter after the first 2 days.

Oh my Goodness, I can't believe i made it til the end of day 2.
It's 11.37pm here uk time and I am about to go to bed.

I started yesterday at 125.2 lbs, this morning I was 122.4 lbs.
Not bad for one day!
But I do know from experience that it's consistency that matters here.
SO I keep my finders crossed for tomorrow.

I have been trying over and over again lately to restart this diet after losing 32 pounds last year.

Lately I had been trying but could never get past day 1...well, I guess I could, I just gave up ....

Yesterday morning I decided to do it again, and to motivate myself I went back to my journal from last year.
Re-read some of the food journal, the way I felt, etc...and it helped somehow.

I had to deal with a pretty bad headache last night and tonight, but i ve had worse.

Hopefully tomorrow will be easier.

Actually, i have to say that the hardest thing was the "not eating' versus the hunger.
My belly strangely did not feel so hungry, but my brain and my mouth wanted to eat.
I had to really fight it, and fight the voice that says : give up for today, you could always do this tomorrow"

One day at a time I guess...
If I can get past day 3 I will be thrilled.
Fridays are tough because psychologically i think of a big friday night meal, end of the week kinda thing!

I do have to mention that just like last year when I did this diet, I stuck to the 5 bites for lunch and dinner (big ol bites though!!!) but I always add a big bowl of coffee with sugar and soymilk at breakfast.
That never seemed to affect my weight loss!

minus 4 pounds in 2 days! I'm happy!

SO last night I was thrilled to have made it to the end of day 2, and I am even more thrilled to have lost a total of 4 pounds in those first 2 days.
i weighed 121.2 this morning!

But fridays are tough...friday night that is.
Must stay focused! Sad

Oh cool, same starting weight!!!
Well, I am 35 years old, 5 foot 4 and my goal would be 115.
I am picking 115 only because I have been that weight and it suited me perfectly.

Honestly , I lost 32 pounds last year with the 5 bite and I am so glad i lost that weight that I can't complain about where I am at now. What I look forward to is the feeling I had last year.
I really felt in control of food. It absolutely did not control me. I was like a different person.

I stayed like that for months until I slowly let emotions creep up and started to use food again.

So, apart form the weight loss I am really looking forward to the way I felt.
it's pretty incredible to feel in control.
i'm sure I'll get back there!

Oh, and this is end of day 3 for me.
I managed to stay clear of friday night binge.
i am on herbal tea for the rest of the night and I am not going back to the kitchen.

5.2 pounds the first 3 days

so I lost 5.2 pounds in 3 days.....
I am thrilled to bits.
Yesterday beginning of day 4 I weight 120 pounds exactly. I was 125.2 on day 1.
Now this morning I stepped on the scale and it read 120 again.

This is the part of the diet I remember form last time.
Once the weight loss slows down, it is the time when it requires the most strength from me.
It is so encouraging to se the scale go down every day, that when it doesn't, it messes with you.
This is when I have to be strong and remember that the diet does work, and that it will catch up.
It has to.

So I am clenching my teeth ..hahahaha hoping to be happier tomorrow morning.

Instead of diet74 I should have made my name SlaveToTheScale!

minus 0.2 pounds....I guess better than minus nothing

Every day is a challenge. Every day I keep telling myself "I can do this I can do this I can do this"
and even at some points, 'I must do this I must do this I must do this' and take deep breaths.

I am so impatient !!!! Or a brat....
Doesn't it seem so unfair that when you pig out over a weekend you put on like 5 or 6 pounds, and yet you eat 10 bites a day and you lose 0.2 pounds!! hahahahaha.....it sucks.

But, I will stick to it.

Today I am starting day 6!
I have been 'Prefect' since day 1.
I am not going to compromise this at this point.

So , day 4 120 pounds
day 5 120 pounds
day 6 119.8 pounds

I started this diet last wednesday.
that gives me exactly 4 weeks, or 4 wednesdays , until I go on holiday for 2 weeks.
My plan is to stay on this diet for 2 weeks.
Then start adding some light weight training for the last 2 weeks.

By the time I am on holiday, not only I should be thinner and more toned, but also my appetite should be completely reset so that I can enjoy small meals of any food!

I'll keep posting my progress!
