weight loss fluctuations

I've seen it happen on Biggest Loser, now it's happening to me.
Why do you lose a bunch of weight one week and then the week after it's a small loss?
I can't find anything online to explain why this happens.

Exercise without breaking a sweat by walking 20 minutes a day. Find the time to do it and it will come off again. Physical activity is the best thing you can do for your heart and future health.
