New Days, back on plan

Hi All,

I am back after a long break. I am hoping this time is the charm.  bounce

Day one 192.2

food
b) tea
L) chicken wrap 5 bites
D) chicken and potatoes

I am not a great lover of no breakfast, its always the one thing that knocks me off the plan. I love to eat breakfast and watching my daughter eating it makes me nuts.. lol But I am strong and staying with it. Its now 10:30 in the morning and I am about to have my tea.  Then water, water and more water..lol

Welcome back ElleBella! I can see from the number of your posts you've known about the 5BD for a while. Did you have much success with it last time? As a veteran 5BD'r do you have any tips for the newbies here? Good luck with this round Smile

Hi,

Thank you. My tip is to always stick to low calories just incase you can not manage a 5 bite day. 2 snickers bars is just under 600 and a good 5 bite of burgers is around 800.. (most eat half a burger in 5 bites x 2).. so on days I just can not do five bites I will work with 600-800 calories to keep the lbs dropping.

When I am crusing on the 5 bite I drink plenty of water and tea. I like sparkling water as it keeps your tummy fuller longer.

Truly I did not make it on the 5 bite diet, I had a great support group but I just struggled on the no breakfast or night snack..that is me and I know it. I did lose weight but I was misserable being hungry all the time.. lol.. but as the dr says stick to it and it will be over soon. So here I am again ready to give it a go!

I will WI once a week. This way I do not get nuts

L) chili
D) chicken wrap

Well I got nut after all.. Day 3 190.. down 2 Yay.. it always amazes me how fast this goes. Uuugh.. so hungry:P

water water oh and more water lol.

Wishing you all a wonderful day on plan. After the first week succeeded for me I will set up my personal challenge. I purchased a mini tramp to keep me walking while the winter comes in with its cold winds. My daughter and I have just stared Geocaching and we love it. This keeps us walking for hours.

At least the scales were kind to you and you saw a loss! Good work.
I have started using my exercise machine again too. After so long off it, I just woke up the other day and felt like exercising! But I'm not exactly ready to run a marathon Smile

Thank you both so much. I am down another lb at 189 Yay.. I have added back in breakfast as I just can not seam to go all morning. I am still losing so I am happy.

You two motivate me so much to get it down.

I am sad today as I have to re-home my dog and this is turning out to be very hard to do. I just love him so much. I am moving to a new province and can not take him.. uuugh.. sorry spilling a bit as I am so sad. Sad

Today I am cleaning my house and getting and getting ready for a Halloween party. My daughter and I are going as Harlequin dolls. This should be a good time.

B) scrambled egg 5 bites
L) bean wrap 5 bites
D) not sure.. this will be interesting. Maybe green spaghetti lol

I will have 2 pc of candy for sure .. chocolate yum

Thank you so much. It was a harsh weekend. Halloween knocked me off plan and I did not get my dog on his way.. I sucked.. lol I will try to do it this week.. so hard Sad

Well my little once is on her way to school and I am having a tea. I am going to stick to 600 calories today as I just can not do the 5 bite with my stress I want to eat the fridge... lol As before I managed to lose at the same rate eating 600 cals as I did 5 bite. So for now that will be ok for me.

B) tea, raspberries/ banana fruit salad
L) tomato soup
sn) apple
D) cheese burger
that's 667 calories

I went up to 205 again from all those Halloween candies and chips.. uuugh

Update.

I just got home from dropping my neighbor off at the hospital. He came to me this morning with chest pains. Poor man.. Pray for him you can.

I did not have breakfast so I am going to take those calories and put them onto dinner menu.

Dinner will now be a cheese burger with baked fries.

No I did not fall of track to much.. I just was very sad with my having dog going to a new family. It broke my heart. I then caught a nasty cold from the stress lol..

I am here.. I am up to 193 but not worried as I know it will drop off.. cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

I am moving to be with family in 36 days.. I wonder if I could challenge myself to drop a lb a day.. Lets see what shakes lose.

K went way off plan yesterday, had company come over and ate pizza. I only had two pcs so not a huge over load but then I had chips too.. uugh.. I WI this morning at the same 193, so I gained nothing.. cheers cheers I am not mad about it, it is now in the past and I live in the present..lol

Have a super duper day all. We are moving to a new home soon so I am packing.. Yay fun.

Yes, you are in the present, and your present plan sounds awesome! Definitely keep water on hand as I think oftentimes we think we are hungry when really we are just thirsty.

Truth be told I fell way off the wagon but do not think I gained much.. I will WI tomorrow to confirm it.

I have something super to tell you All. I have been moving off grains, and sugar for the past years.. I fail a lot but I am getting there. Yesterday I made a new recipe from a cookbook I purchased (Make it Paleo). The recipe is called banana bread/muffins/ mini loaf. I decided to make them.

As no grains are used in them I thought they would be awful, but I wrong. They are different in texture but not bad at all. Well here comes the most amazing thing about them. As they are made out of coconut flour (complete fibre) they did not rise much. Basically they came out to 3 bites per muffin. The amazing thing that happened next made me finally find my holy grail ! I actually had one at 10am with at tea. I was expecting to be hungry by noon but no hunger came.. 1,2,3, nothing.. 4 was when I finally started feeling peckish. That was 6hrs.. Omgoodness. I thought wow now I KNOW I CAN FINALLY DO THE 5 BITE DIET.. with out hunger for real! I had one at 8 this morning and I am still full and will most likely be so until 1pm.. so my 5 bites it to go with 3 bites breakfast with tea, 3 bites lunch with water and 5 bites for dinner.. Yes its 11 bites but its great!

Day 1 back on
B) 3 bites banana muffin with tea
L) 3 bites banana muffin with water
D) 5 bites normal dinner with water

for those of you that would like this recipe

Here it is - its is paleo so some ingredients you might have to store for as they might not be in your home?
set oven at 350

Banana Muffins

1/2 cup coconut flour, sifted
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda

Combine these ingredients together.
----------------------------------------------

6 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Combine eggs and vanilla with mixer until well blended
----------------------------------------------------------------
4 dates - see note at bottom
2 tbsp maple syrup

After you have mashed the dates add the maple syrup and stir through. Once blended add to Egg mixture.
---------------------------------------------------------------
1/4 butter or coconut oil melted
1/2 cup overly ripe bananas

Combine banana and butter/oil and mix together, now add to egg mixture.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Now combine all together. The coconut flour will thicken things up very fast. After you have it fully mixed let it sit for 5 mins and line your muffin tin with cup cake holders ( helps them come out better) add the batter evenly to make 12 muffins. They will rise only a bit and will brown on the bottom more yellow on top. They must be refrigerated after they are cool. Heat in the morning with some butter.. yum

Date's note - take the date and add about 3 tbsp. water. Put in pot or microwave and cook until they are broken down and you can mash with a fork.

I am just about to have my second muffin.. its 2:20 pm. I finally got a true eat now pang. 6 plus hours.. wahooo.. I love this!
