FatSick&NearlyDead's Journal

Post  FatSick&NearlyDead on Thu Jun 12, 2014 8:20 pm

Well folks, today is my first day of "biting" and so far, so good. I weighed in this morning at 284.4lbs so yes I have quite a ways to go. I don't have a set number for my goal. I would rather go off of the way I look and feel than tie myself to a number. I have a love-hate relationship with the scale so I'm going to try not to weigh daily. That way, if there is no change, I don't get discouraged and try to justify cheating or quitting.

Today, I had 5 bites of a sub sandwich for lunch and have planned to have 5 bites of pasta for dinner. I've also been drinking plenty of water. I haven't been hungry so far but I have peach green tea bags on hand just in case I feel I need them.

It is vital that I stuck to this. I can't tell you how many times I've been on this roller coaster with my weight. I'm tired and it's time to get off. I decree and declare that I will NOT take any additional unplanned bites on this diet. I know me and if I start to talk myself into a little extra here and there, that means the end is near.

There are 100 days until my 32nd birthday and I would love to see how much I can lose, and keep off, by then. Your comments and encouragement will be greatly appreciated.

I will be back on Monday, June 16th to report my first weigh-in results. I'm already excited!!!

Welcome here girl!!! cheers cheers cheers
I know exactly what you feel. I guess that's why we're all here. I wish you'd lose those extra pounds before your birthday and hopefully being on this forum will keep you motivated. Last year I lost 16 lbs thanks to the support of wonderful people I met here. Good luck and have a great weekend!  sunny  sunny  sunny

Day 2 down. Ready for day 3. Still no headache and for that, I'm thankful.

Lunch-5 bites of chicken alfredo pasta
Dinner-5 bites of a bacon cheeseburger with fries

Since there is no real way to count fry bites, I coupled about 4-5 small ones and counted that as a bite.

Onward and downward my 5 biter friends!

The cardio should definitely boost the weight loss. You're doing awesome!

I decided to also add some cardio, walking for 1.5 hours, and it made me so much hungrier throughout the day. How's your cardio routine affecting your hunger???

Well it's not making me more hungry. However, around 1pm or so, I can feel a decrease in my energy level. As far as the hunger goes, I believe I'm not having an issue because I do my cardio so early in the AM. 4AM to be exact. Then I don't eat my lunch until 12-1230. When I get home after work, I'll have dinner around 530-6 and then it's just water for the rest of the night. I have craved certain things and didn't give in to them but I have to admit that hunger has not been an issue since I've started 5 biting.

So here are the results from my weigh-in today

SW- 284.4
CW- 274.4

Total -10lbs since June 12th

I must say that I thought I would have lost more but I'm happy. I'm learning how to really watch how much I eat and control myself which is something I can continue for the rest of my life.

10lbs in 10 days is absolutely wonderful! You should be super proud of yourself for sticking with it, and not going over your bites, and losing so much weight so quickly!! Congratulations!!!  cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

Hello everyone. I've been gone for what seems like forever. However, it wasn't intentional. I ended up in the hospital and I'm just now on my way to recovery. I was placed on medication that I had to eat with 3x daily so I couldn't really 5 bite. I haven't checked my weight so I don't know where I stand right now. I will be back full force on Monday. Really missed you guys. Happy 5 Biting my friends!

Thanks Claire. I'm happy to be back. Since I was gone so long, I just knew I gained a ton of weight. However, when I stepped on the scale, I was still lower than where I initially started in June. Word can't express how I felt about seeing that and it gave me extra motivation for today and the days to come.
